The Asian Business Association Orange County will host business matchmaking preparation workshops that are designed to assist all small business owners & entrepreneurs who want to get contracts with large corporations and government agencies. Now is the time to learn, understand, and discover the ins and outs of contracting!

Graduates of the workshops will be eligible to attend a Practice “Business Matchmaking” Conference, where they will have an opportunity to sharpen their sales pitch and get feedback from sourcing agents. Graduates will also have an opportunity to meet with several buyers from large corporations and government procurement officers, to jump-start their contracting process, at the PROCON and Business Matchmaking Conference in October 2010.

Business owners, small business executives & entrepreneurs are strongly encouraged to sign up early to get a combined deal - pay for the workshops and attend the Practice match making and PROCON for no additional costs.

Are you having difficulty with the government and public agency procurement process? This workshop exposes you to the full range of proposal elements and how to address each for success. You've got your small business certifications and you're ready to capture some government contracts. Only the proposal process stands between you and your goal. Now what? In this course, you will learn:
• The full range of proposal elements
•How to address each element for success
• How to make a bid or no bid decision
• Who to include in your proposal writing team
• How to build on your past performance
• How to showcase your teams’ experience

Some of the topics covered are: marketing/capture, pre-solicitation activities, reading the solicitation, making a bid/no bid decision, creating detailed outlines, kick-off team meetings, building winning themes, preparing storyboards, creating value propositions, writing technical and management sections, reviewing the first draft, conducting color team reviews, proposal production, graphics, and delivery to the client.

Sandra McClintock of MB Dolphin LLC presents this workshop. She became involved in government proposals during the exciting, early days of NASA and the first moon shot, and has managed large proposal efforts for Rockwell Defense Electronics, SBC Communications (now AT&T), and Tracor Flight Systems.

As Chief Operating Officer for MB Dolphin, a proposal consulting firm, she conducts proposal writing workshops for small businesses and consults on large aerospace proposals. Sandra has been listed in Who's Who in American Women since 1991, and in Who's Who in Communications since 1998.
